hi,

thank you for providing the brief history of your husband.

As he has blood pressure and gout, he shouldn't be stopping his blood pressure medication. As most blood pressure medications are diuretics and they help to remove most of the uric acid out of the body as the gout is a condition which is due to high levels of uric acid. In my personal opinion medicine shouldn't be stopped and for helping him understand this a physician should be met.
