Is Long Term Usage Of Habitrol Nicotine Gum Advisable?
My husband has been using Habitol nicotine gum for 5 yrs - or more - pretty much choose one every hour during the day & evening. Is there any risk to this long term frequent use? (He switched from occasional cigarettes over 30 yrs ago with chewless tobacco which turned out to be more addictive then the cigarettes)
TThere certainly isn't much risk. The carcinogenic and dangerous drugs are largely contaminants in tobacco other than nicotine. There might be a bit of a stress on the cardiovascular system but that is testable by seeing if the heart rate and blood pressure go up or down with use of the gum.
