Is Loose, Sweet Smelling Stools Normal While Having Sinus On Lower Back With Fatty Lymphoma?
My son was born with a mild form of spina bifida. He has a sinus on lower back with a fatty lymphoma and birthmark. Also has scoliosis and atypical clubfoot Was checked for tethered spine at 4 months. Not tethered then. He is now in his early twenties. His stool is very loose and sweet smelling. Should I be concerned?
Hi. Thanks for your query. Noted the history related to your 20 year son which has spina bifida, has a sinus om the lower back, fatty lymphoma must be lipoma, birthmark, scoliosis and atypical club foot. Now he has mow very loose stools and sweet smelling. These both things look unrelated and should be searched differently. I would advise the stool tests for 3 consecutive days get started on the proper treatment as per the reports and ask for further tests if need be. The problem of spina bifida is totally different and needs separate evaluation and further treatment if need be.
