Is Loss Of Hearing Due To Congestion?

I have juist got over a cold where I had a lot of congestion. I have now gone deaf in my right ear. I cant hear myself talk I nearly passed out today. I have this since monday my local gpn told me to take pain killers for the pain. I dont have pain just loss of hearing and it is very waring now. I am on aprovel for high blood pressure

I really appreciate your concern let me tell you something the cold episode actually causes some inflammatory process to the inner ear along with the block of Eustachian tube and these could cause sort of discomfort in hearing and not the actual hearing loss and this would come around soon, with general care like drinking more water steam inhalation and of course breathing exercise, take care and have a nice day.
