Is Low Level Of FT4 An Indication Of Hypothyroidism?

Hi , I am Male, 56 years. My TSH mU/L 1.49 FT3 pmol/L 4.14, FT4 pmol/L 10.64 . As per Referance Range given on Report my TSH & FT3 are within Ref. Range but on the lower side, FT4--10.64 is below Ref. Range of 12--22.0. Would this be classified as Hypothyroidism or Pre-Hypothyoidim ? Kindly advice as what Treatment I should undertake. Thank you.

Hi, dear
I have gone through your question.
I can understand your concern.

Your free T4 level is low but your TSH is normal. So in my opinion you should repeat your TSH, free T4 and free T3 level after 6 weeks. If your TSH increased and T4 remains low then it is hypothyroidism. Then you need to take thyroid supplements like synthroid or thyronorm.

Hope I have answered your question.
If you have any doubts then feel free to ask me. I will be happy to answer.
