Is Lower Abdomen Discomfort, Burning Sensation In The Penis Sign Of HIV And STD?

I am very worried and don t know what to do. Please I need some advice. 3 weeks ago I received unprotected oral sex from a sex worker. 2-3 days later I had a strong urge to urinate, there was no pain when urinating, but some burning in an around the head of my penis during the day. I saw a urologist and he diagnosed prostatitis. He prescribed Ciproflaxcin and doxy for 2 weeks. I finished the course and didn t notice a change in my symptoms. I revisited and he said he doesn t think i have an std and not to worry about it. I have been getting a dull pain in my left testicle and at time some lower abdominal disconfort. I am now feeling like I m getting sick, I have a sore throat and a headache. My body feels weak and my muscles ache. Do you think I have an std, and should I get tested? I am worried about hep b and HIV infection. I know my body well and I can tell that something is very very wrong. Please help

Thank you for query.the symptoms indicate Infection may be due to STDs.Urethritis or UTI .It is more likely Bacterial infection gonococcal or non gonococcal. You may need a course of antibiotic like Azithromycin 500mg twice daily for 5- 7 days.drink plenty of water and fluids.treat the partner also with the antibiotics course simultaneously otherwise there are chances of recurrence.avoid intercourse until symptoms subside totally.Use protective like condoms. You can go for other STDs tests if not done. The symptoms do not suggest HIV or Hep B but can be tested as a routine to relive your anxiety. You can get back for any clarifications with details.Dr Bharatesh D Basti Dermatologist and venereologist
