Is Medicine Left At Unprescribed Temperature Safe To Be Consumed?

I just started taking loloestrin fe and they say to store in temps from 58-88 degrees. I ended up leaving and almost full pack in my car for 5 hours, they were somewhat insulated but it was about 32 degrees F outside. Can i still rely on them to prevent pregnancy after taking this month s worth?

Hi,

Storing drugs in the prescribed temperature is required to maintain the potency of drug. Hormonal pills may be even more temperature sensitive and hence it is better to switch taking a new pack of drug and discard this drug pack.

Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.
