Is Meftal P Recommended For Fever Of 6 Year Old?

By giving calpol 250mg to my child no results are seen, but when i gave meftal p fever has comedown.Sould l i continue same. He is 6.5 years. I gave by mistakenly again instead of mental p. Can i immediately give mental again. ajitgilbile2004@ WWW.WWWW.WW

Hi.... Many thanks for consulting in Health Care Magic. Please do not use Meftal-P as its an nsaid & not to be used in kids for fever. Fever will not cause harm but unnecessary medicines will do. Its reported to cause gastritis & renal problems on long run. Please discontinue Meftal-P & use only plain paracetamol at 15mg/kg/dose every 4-6th hourly. Hope my answer was helpful for you.
