Is Mild Rashes And Soreness On Back A Sign Of Shingles?

my husband (72) has a mild rash that is on his left back and one blemish on his chest. dark center pimples. There is soreness and episodes of deep pain and was given a relaxer by his physician. I suspect the onset of shingles but the rash does not have fluid so I wonder what else it could be.

Hello,
It is my pleasure to help you,
I have reviewed your history and i guess your husband may be having shingles but there are many causes for the skin rashes ranging from eczema, contact dermatitis, allergy and insects bite.
The shingles or herpes zooster is a viral disease which shows the symptoms when the body immunity comes down.
Considering his age, if any preexisting chronic diseases like diabetes can also lead to reduced immunity. As it affects the nerve root ganglion the pain will be more.
Hope I have answered your query. If you have follow up queries then please do write us. I will be happy to answer your queries.
Thank you.
