Is Monthly B12 Shots Effective For Epstein Barr Virus?

My 23 year old son had a very bad case of mono back in december 2014. The doctors said he has the epstein bar virus. Although he s engaging in normal everyday activities, he gets easily fatigued. Sometimes he spends the whole day sleeping to recover. I ve heard and read that monthly B12 shots can help him. Is that true and if so can I or he purchase it and self medicate?

Epstein-Barr virus is the most common viral infection in humans.
It can remain dormant for years and cause crippling long-lasting fatigue. But most people never know that they have been infected.
Natural treatments for Epstein Barr Syndrome include high dose nutrients like vitamin C, zinc, selenium, CoQ10, magnesium and Vitamin B complex.
Diet is based around a high protein diet which is low in sugar, alcohol, coffee and processed foods.
Anti-inflammatory foods like fish oils, garlic, ginger and turmeric are useful in relieving symptoms.
Antioxidant foods including green leafy vegetables, fresh juices, green tea, berries and lemons are a useful addition to a healthy, immune-boosting diet.
Hence, just taking Vitamin B12 alone might not be that beneficial for such infection. Kindly supplement with all the other ingredients for better outcome.
