Is Nausea & Throat Pain A Side Effect Of Smz/tmp Drugs?
I am taking smz/tmp for a UTI and the second day after taken the dosages, my stomach began to hurt, and later I became nausea, throat ache, itch from head to toe, and muscle tramp in my left foot and calf. my question Should stop taking the medicine and call the doctor for a different perscription, or can break in half and see if that work for my side effects issues?

The itching can be a potentially FATAL side effect. But you'd notice more than just itching such as huge bloody rashes over the eyes and mouth. Still, this horrible Steven's Johnson Reaction starts as itching and is a reason to hold the meds until getting advice from the doctor.
