Is Numbness In Foot And Ankle A Result Of Dislocation?

Had A bad fall 4 wks ago. Dislocated my right foot and broke 3 bones in my ankle. Had surgery to insert Plates and screws. My incision is healing well. All 33 staples removed. I can wiggle toes, but have numbness in foot and ankle. Also, I ve noticed my foot is darker than my calf or other foot. Why is this? Should I be concerned?

Hi,Thanks for your query. After going through your query I came to know that you got injury to your ankle. BROKEN THREE BONES .Surgery was done for these .Plate and screws applied .Incision healed well .There is numbness in foot and finger .It may be due to some of cutaneous nerve must have cut by surgical incision.These area will be gradually taken over by other nerves. No need to worry much.Similarly vascularity is disturbed by the surgical injury so foot looking blackish,it will also look normal after some days.You can discuss with your treating Doctor about it.
