Is Omnacortil Forte Syrup Safe To Give For An Infant?
omnacortil forte syrup dosage in 2 years baby ? my baby is 22 months old. from last 1 month onwards he is occurring fever...doctor had prescribed crosin syrup n ask me to give me Allegra as my doctor told me that my son is allergic. By giving crosin syrup n allergra the fever was not reducing so that we had changed the medicine n started given Ibugesic plus for fever .....by giving this fever was control .....but after 4-5days my son is having running nose..& now he is having fever again temp near about 103... My doctor is asking me to give omnacortil forte syrup which is a steroid ...is it safe to give? please help me as i am tooworried..

Hi....please do not give omnacortil if it is being given for fever. If fever is recurring then we need to find the cause for fever. If the doctor has prescribed omnacortil for some other reason then we need to know why. Omnacortil is a steroid and should not be used without a strong reason at 22 months of age.
