Geriatrics Specialist 's  Response
Hi,
Thanks for asking.
Based on your query, my opinion is as follows.
1. Yes, it is treatable.
2. You can take painkillers for the pain.
3. Hope you are not suffering from diabetes mellitus or it is not infected. Get a relook from a specialist to rule out any infection. one month is a long time and will require biopsy and culture of the tissue.
4. Antibioitic ointment application at site along with systemic antibiotics necessary. Meet your doctor for clinical examination and further tests.
Hope it helps.
Any further queries, happy to help again.
