Is Pain In Shoulder Blades During Deep Breathing Post An Injury A Concern?
My son was hit hard in a soccer game. It knocked the wind out of him when it happened. He has pain right below his shoulder blade and it hurts to take deep breaths. There is no visible bruising. Should he take ibuprofen and wait to see if the symptoms get better, or should he see a doctor?

I think he may be having a simple trauma or injury since it isn't affecting movement and there is no bruising and swelling.
He can take ibuprofen or acetaminophen for pain relief.
Put on ice compresses and restrict movement.
