Is Pain While Walking With Red Patch On Thigh After Fall Concerning?

My dad slipped on the icy walkway and both the feet stretched in either direction. He has pain while walking. The pain is reduced since couple of days but has to walk very slowly. Also there is a red patch on the thigh area of one leg. Is there is something of major concern. Any advice would help.

If his pain has become less than there is nothing to be worried about. Some time in this age even a trivial fall can cause fracture. But from your question it looks that nothing bad has happened. Keep him on analgesics and calcium. He will soon improve.
