Is Pea Sized Nodule On Left Tibia Of A 4 Year Old A Cause For Concern?

My four year old son has a pea sized nodule on his left tibia, just below the knee. Our pediatrician has been monitoring it for the past eight weeks, but it seems to be getting larger. It is not causing him any pain or discomfort. Should we continue to monitor or seek a second opinion?
