My boyfriend and I usually use condoms but this time we didn t and he cam inside me but I ve been on birth control for over a year. My period is usually pretty regular sometimes just a spotting here or there but I m just worried that because im suppose to start my period tomorrow, I d have a higher chance of getting pregnant

In view of having unprotected penetrative sex under the cover of birth control pills the chances of pregnancy are less.

However contraceptive failure rate: 9%

The causes of contraceptive failure may be one of the followings:

1. Failure to follow the instructions:
Taking them at exactly the same time every single day greatly reduces any chance of unplanned pregnancy

2. Used inconsistently:
Forgetting or missing one pill is sufficient enough to cause pregnancy.

3. Use of other drugs or herbs:
They may interfere with the actions of birth control pills.
