Is Purple Discoloration Around The Eyes Normal After Falling On The Face?

I fell in my neighbors driveway 2 days ago while walking my Granddog, of course I took the full force of the fall with the right side of my face. Even though it's been two full days now, my right upper lip is still numb as well as my right nostril. The skin al the way around my eye is purple and red, although my eye appears to be fine other than draining a lot. Is this normal for a fall of this type or should I have my eve and/or face checked out?

Yes after an injury this is usually a normal event. However, I recommend you to see the eye of your doctor for safety.
