Is Rabies Vaccination Advisable For The Scratch Done By Vaccinated Dog?

Four days ago I had a scratch from my four months old pug who is vaccinated I washed my scratch immediately with soap now however the scratch is not paining nor any irritation a slight red mark at scratch?do I need to take for rabies vaccination?and within how many days

Hi,

It depends upon the efficacy of the vaccine your dog received. If your pet dog is properly vaccinated against rabies and the efficacy of the vaccine is confirmed by laboratory evidence then there is no need for you take the rabies vaccination.

Otherwise you should take one dose of vaccine on days 0, 3, 7, 14 and 28. Stop taking vaccine if your dog remains healthy throughout an observation period of 10 days.
