Hi
Thanks for posting on HCM
Possible causes of knee pain after an injury may include: anterior cruciate ligament injury, Torn meniscus, or fracture.Even without any particular treatment, pain from these conditions may subside. However, any wrong step may stress/strain the joint and trigger pains.
I will suggest you see the Doctor to examine the knee joint. You may take a pain drug like ibuprofen and a myorelaxant like miorel while preparing to see the Doctor for examination.Depending on the findings on physical examination, the Doctor may request for a MRI to evaluate the lesions.
Hope my answer will help you
Best wishes
