Is Regular Arm Sling Or Eight Collar Brace Is Recommended For Maximum Healing Process?

Hello. My son recently fractured his collarbone, (Closed fracture of shaft of clavicle). He s an athletic boy and would like to see him recover with minimal weakening of his arm and muscles. Which arm sling is recommended for maximum healing process, Regular arm sling or figure eight collar bone brace ????

Dear Sir/Mam,
Both the devices that you have talked about will help in healing of a clavicular fracture. the figure eight brace works excellently and does not immobilise the elbow which has its own complications. I suggest he uses that. Even with that i suggest he gets xrays done every 2 weeks to look for displacement. Hope he recovers early. All the best.
