Is Repetition Of Anti-rabies Vaccination Required For A Dog Bite After One Year?

My friend s son got dog s bite one and a half year back. Yesterday night also, he got dog bite. My friend went to Safdarjung Hospital and doctor gave him tetanus injection as anti-rabies injection was not available there and asked her to go to RML Hospital. When he went to RML Hospital today, they said that there is no need for anti-rabies injection as it was injected one and a half year back. Please advise what to do now.

Now a days, the person who has received freeze dried HDCV for rabies need booster dose after 8 years of primary vaccine.
