Is Restless Legs, anxiety And Memory Loss Sign Of Brain Tumors?

Age:23 Gender: Female Inquiry: Are these systems of brain tumors? Previous Diagnosis: ADHD Age: 14 Treatment: Medadate I feel that there is something pushing on certain parts of my brain that are causing these symptoms, I am highly intelligent, have an impeccable memory for conversations and particular instances, and also perform above standards in my work but am unable to retain these skills overtime. I am unable to speak aloud without disorientating my speech and often drop items due to a numbness, tingle or twitch in my arms and hands. I have constant trembles in my hands and my personality and mood change often throughout a particular situation. Current Systems: Restless Legs – I feel that my body is in constant movement whether it’s my feet to a beat, or bouncing of my leg. I also have a very high libido that has been present since I was about 7 years old Muscle twitching – My arms and hands tingle often and my legs arms and head twitches… these are not huge movements. I drop things that I am carrying such as cups, pens I do not feel them slipping out of my hands. Anxiety – I have anxiety attacks on a daily basis about my performance at work, and even having the day off also about my relationship with my boyfriend (I grew up in a very unstable household so I feel that is the reason that I also concentrate on my relationship with my boyfriend as opposed to another aspect of my life. My anxiety is focused on these two things only and often changes my mood. I am constantly thinking that my boyfriend is off doing something and am unable to retain these suspicions leading me to check his phone and question him often Speech - I have trouble forming the words when I am talking and will often have a message come out with the last few words scrambled. I feel that I am able to process the sentence in my head but when it comes out my mind jumps forward or has trouble properly saying the word itself. Vision – My vision is a bit blurry with a multiple outline of objects. My pererferal vision does not always register to my mind. I will often run into or hit objects that are not in my direct line of vision. I am extremely sensitive to light and if I stand up too quickly I will get a black blur over my eyes and I feel light headed Problems Balancing – when I am walking I tend to sway if I am not concentrating on what I am doing. I have trouble getting out of the car without using my arms to lift my weight up. Some times when I am standing still my body sways slightly also I have trouble getting up using my legs and often use my arms to lift my body weight up. Constant thinking – I am constantly thinking about something or creating circumstances in my head. If I am alone I tend to talk out loud about how something that I may have just seen or watched makes me feel “that was hilarious”. When creating circumstances they are often around the same time as my anxiety- paranoia attacks (not sure what the difference is between anxiety and paranoia) Memory Loss – I have trouble retaining information that I studied in school less than 2 years ago. I utilize these skills on a daily basis but am unable to remember the specifics in utilizing them. I have trouble remembering specific terms and processes. I am able to retain information such as why you would or would not do something as well as conversations that I have held with people. I have a huge problem remembering words that I am trying to use throughout a conversation as well as often forget what I was talking about. Neurologist 's  Response
I hope you're reassured by the short and sweet answer to your question. After having read all of your symptoms in detail my opinion as a neurologist is NO.

These are not the symptoms I would expect to see in a patient with a brain tumor. I believe you have actually found several issues having to do with likely headaches, memory, equilibrium and some other things which are rooted in a strong, pervasive, background of generalized anxiety disorder. Since I am not a psychiatrist or psychologist I cannot go very much further with that idea except to suggest that you seek some assistance with a professional. I am very sure that many of your problems will improve quickly if you could get some psychological testing done and then, couple that with a good well trained and empathetic psychiatrist who is interested in using Cognitive Behavioral Techniques.

Again, from a neurological perspective I am of the opinion that brain tumor is not one of your problems and in fact believe you are unlikely to possess any neurological types of problems just from studying and analyzing your writings and description of situations.

I wish you all the best. If you would be interested in further opinions from me on anything please feel free to either address me DIRECTLY on this network (Dr. Dariush Saghafi) or also by webcam consultation at www.healthTap.com/drsaghafi. We can have a live 30 min. consult in real time which may facilitate my being able to examine you a bit more thoroughly and further convince you that you are free from brain tumors.

If this information is useful and helped answer question I'd very much appreciate a STAR RATING of my response.

Cheers!
