my mother51 has hiatus hernia for last 12 years.it was diagnosed on endoscopy done due to symptoms of heart burn.now 4months ago she had quite severe acidity and epigastric pain after eating spicy rice.she also had spasm like feeling in chest which lasted for few minutes.she was given losec and she is on bland diet since then.her symptoms are quite better but she still experiences reflux on and off.her weight and appetite are fine.does she have a serious problem??
