Hello,

She may be having epigastric hernia, but how severe it is don't know. Yes it is possible that pain after surgery is common it may take 2-3 weeks to reduce 80% pain. also check for it weather infected or hemotoma formed or secondary bleed etc. Until examination is done it is difficult to say what it is.continue pain medication. Please consult your doctor he will examine and treat you accordingly.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
