Is Shaking Of The Head While At Rest A Cause For Concern In A 63-year-old With A History Of Seizure Disorder?

I have been having headaches which is not usual for me. The back of my neck feels a bit stiff. I have a history of seizure disorder from age 20, but have been seizure free for over 30 years and was weaned off Tegrotol in 2007 with no problems since. I am a woman, age 63. My sister who I was away with last week told me that she noticed my head was shaking when at rest; very slightly. I am not aware of this. I am making an appointment with a neurologist.. Should I be concerned?

Hello,

It is better to go for an MRI scan for further assessment. Generally, it will be a non-specific symptom and will settle by itself. Your neurologist will guide you further.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Take care
