Is Speech Loss From Stroke Recoverable?

Hi doc. The lady I care and help experienced a stroke-first time. She is on warfarin 4mg and she is also on donepezil and pregabalin. SHe is 89 years of age,very healthy and active. She drinks on average 2 glasses of red wine in the evening,sometimes just one. Thank you so much for the advice...Very concerned . Stroke left her now speechless. Can she possibly recover ? Thank you. Miriam .

I really appreciate your concern, the only hope for here is speech therapy else no medicine would work here, she need to be investigated for other etiologies too, in other words differential diagnosis need to be taken under consideration, with the helps of this prognosis can be decided, hope this information helps, take care.
