Is Sticky White Saliva In The Mouth Normal?

I am 51 years , about 98 kg in weight and i.8 m in lenght.I have had this problem for about 3monyhs. I wake up in the morning with sticky saliva in my mouth which sometimes forms white patches on the lips. What is this and waht can I do to stop it? Thanks

* There may be possible underlying problems with the salivary gland
pathology or altered physiology .
* Guidelines to stop this

- Keep the oral hygiene at its best .
- Regular 12 hourly brushing with charcoal containing paste .
- Gargles with salted lukewarm water added peppermint oil 3 times / day
- Avoid smoking , alcohol if consuming .
