Hi,I am Dr. Subhankar Chakraborty (Gastroenterologist). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
Hi, I have mucus in my stools. I think this has been for the past few months. Last month I had a vomit bug for a night, then shortly after I had bad diarrhea for a week and then a week after that I had Dengue Fever, which lasted roughly 2 weeks. That ended around 10 days ago. Could I have something in my stomach which is lowering my immunity? (living in the tropics)

Is Stomach Disorder A Cause For Lower Immunity?
Thanks for contacting healthcare magic. YES lower immunity lead to more chanses of infection in stomach . Viral or bacterial infection may cause this type of symptoms. Gastrointestinal infection may cause pain with other symptoms. Stool examination test is helpful for further diagnosis. Try to increase your immunity. Eat fresh fruits and green vegetables. Drink more water. Avoid alcohol drinking. Take care. Thanks.
