Is Stomach Pain Being Caused By Amoxicillin Or Lyme's Disease?
Hi Im a 27 yr old male with a no outstanding medical history (no severe illneses, no medication allergies). A tick bit me 2,5 wees ago, i went to a doctor, who said that i developed Lyme disease. He prescribed me Amoxicillin (3x1000mg/day) I took 2 pills today, and now my stomach is hurting, and i had mild itches on me for approximately a hour. Are these the signs of amoxicillin allergy? Or is it the Lyme disease? Or a normal side effect at the beginning of the medication (like Herxheimer reaction)?
Dear probably you may deveoped allergy to Amoxicillin and you developed gastritis.
it may cause antibiotic induced diarrhea etc..dear if your developing continuous rash, itching over body means please consult your physician he will examine and treat you with alternate medicine like doxycycline or cefuroxime etc..
I think I answered to your question if you have more questions feel free to ask.
