Is Sudden Bleeding With Pain A Cause For Concern While On Menopause?

HI Doctor, I was having a watery discharge for a month then today suddenly fresh blood. I am 65 years old. Stopped menstruating ar 55. Never had any issues or pain or any discomfort until a month ago. I m very concerned and would really appreciate some input to put my mind at rest before I go see my physician. Thank you. Chrystal.

General Surgeon 's  Response
Hello,

Consult a gynecologist and get evaluated.
We have to rule out conditions like uterine cancer which can cause similar symptoms. As of now you can take drugs like Tranexemic acid to control bleeding.

Hope I have answered your query.
Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Shinas Hussain,
