Is Sudden Chest Pain A Sign Of Heart Attack?

What are the symptoms of a heart-attack. I had sudden pain in the middle of chest while sitting in the Bus. This happened about 18 hrs. before. While I changed my hands position the pain disappeared. I am hypertensive but controlled with medicines of AV-75 and Cressar-40 with the advice of a Cardiologist. Is this pain any sign of heart-attack. I am not a diabetic patient and not alcoholic. Thanks for your question on HCM.
In my opinion it is muscular pain only as it disappeared with change in hand position.
But since you are hypertensive patient, we need to rule out cardiac cause first for your chest pain.
So get done ECG first. If it is normal than no need to worry for heart attack.
It is muscular pain mostly due to improper hand position. Try to follow these steps for better symptomatic relief.
1. Avoid heavy weight lifting and strenuous exercise.
2. Avoid bad postures in sleep.
3. Take good painkiller and muscle relaxant.
4. Apply warm water pad on affected site.
