Is Surgery A Good Choice For A 103-year-old Woman With Gall Bladder Problem?

my aunt age 103, yes thats 103, is in the hospital with gall bladder problem. It either has to be removed or set with a tube to drain it for the rest of her life. Do you think it is reasonable to think she would survive surgery if , as the doctor says, she has a pretty strong heart and is in pretty good shape for her age. We are worried that the tube would cause other problems. thanks

Hello,

Thanks for your query on HCM

"As"per your clinical history is concerned age is not a factor for any surgical procedure so a detailed physical examination with pre operative protocol and if everything is normal then there is no problem in removing gallbladder or any postoperative complication.

Thanks
