Is Surgery Required For Bening Appendicitis?

Sir, My daughter is 19 years old, she had stomach pain and we consulted a doctor they took ultrasound and says she has appendicitis but not acute i.e. there is no swelling or other particles and says that surgery is not necessary now and gave her antibiotics. Sir kindly advise whether surgery is necessary or will be cured by antibiotics as she will be staying in the hostel for her studies

General Surgeon 's  Response
Hello dear , Hi

Thanks for using Healthcaremagic.com
I have evaluated your query thoroughly .

* Management of case of appendicitis , depend upon the symptomatic
details with clinical findings .

* Many sub acute to chronic cases are managed well with conservative
management without surgery , while severely acutely inflammed
appendix usually require surgery .

* Still final word of opinion requires in person examination .

Wishing her fine recovery from the same .

Regards .
