Is Swelling In Feet, Knees Along With Numbness After Taking Robaxisal Due To Its Side Effects?
Hi doctor. while I was visiting Toronto, a doctor gave me Robaxisal 400mg tablets, to take 2 tablets every 6 hours.,for severe back ache. I took 3 doses but now I am getting swelling on both of my feet, upto the knees, with numbness. I already discontinued the medication. is it something to worry or is it a side effect and what shall I do . thanks. arshad.
Hi and thanks for the query, It is very important to exclude other causes before attributing the symptoms experienced to the drug. The first condition is to be able to establish the fact that the symptoms were only experienced when you started using the drug. Even if this was the case, it does not exclude the fact that another condition within the same period could present with same symptoms. It is likely that the drug should cause the symptoms, but a careful and keen review are required.
