Is Swelling In The Face And The Feeling Of Abscess Growth In The Mouth A Symptom Of Bell’s Palsy?

I think I may be experiencing bells palsy. I had pneumonia a few weeks ago, since then have been treated, however, I ve experienced a death in my immediate family, thinking I was under much stress, I started feeling an abscess grow in my mouth, I went to the dentist and he could not find anything. My right side of my face swelled and as of today I m still feeling like I m growing an abscess. What do you think I should do at this point?

Hello,

As you got it checked by the dentist I also don't think it's abscess formation. Because if it was such things and symptoms would have been different. Also, bells palsy doesn't seem to produce selling but pain and weakness more.

I will advise you to have a check with the ENT once to rule out your abscess doubt.

Also, doing simple gargling exercise of the muscles of the mastication and monitoring your diet should help reduce the symptoms.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
