Is Swelling On The Knee While Having A Baker's Cyst A Matter Of Concern?

My knee was swollen with a small pocket of water on the right side of the knee. I waited a few days but the entire leg from the groin to the foot swelled up so I went to the ortho doctor, After an ultasound they discovered a Baker Cyst and thought the swelling would go down. They also gave me a shot in the knee of cortisone.. There were no blood clots. Should I be concerned. I am 79 yrs old and an athlete.

Hi,

You can consult an orthopedician and get evaluated.

Nothing much to worry and it is not a matter of concern.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
