Is Swollen Vein Normal At The Injected Site?
I recently started to iv meth about a month ago and today something happened to me that scared me straight...i think....usually I shoot in my upper arms in the inside but today I used my right wrist on the inside closer to the thumb...i tied off...inserted and then registeted...i started to push the plunger in slowly...i injected about 2-3 cc out of 25 an all of a sudden I watched my vein swell up huge and turn redish purple..i quickly removed my tie and pulled the needle out...i ran it under hot water for about 10-15 mins and applo

Needle had overshot the vein ( countered).
Leave as it is .it will be ok in day or two.
Always withdraw the blood before pushing the flyuid in side the vein to get it patency.
