Is Taking Doxyxycline Hyclate Safe For Bacterial Infection?

Hi I have been taking doxycycline hyclate for a bacterial infection since January 15th and my period is about five days late. It was supposed to come on the 18th of January it is now January 24th. Is my delayed period due to the medication? But I also had sexual intercourse with a condom on January 11th.

Doxycycline does not have hormonal effects. It is used for bacterial infections. It is quite a concern if there is pregnancy because it is deposited into bones and makes teeth go funny colors in the developing child.
