General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hi,

Montair LC contains Monteleukast and Levocetirizine as composition. Monteleukast is leukotriene inhibitor which exhibits allergic response in the respiratory tract. This drug is prescribed to treat chronic asthma, reduces the number of episodes of acute exacerbation. It is not advised in acute condition. It should be avoided with phenytoin, an anti-epileptic drug. There are no serious side effects noted with drug. Levocetirizine is an anti-histamine used in allergy, runny nose, hives, etc. It does not prevent hives. Dizziness, drowsiness are the common side effects in anti-histamine therapy. Discuss with your doctor, if there is any non compliance of the drugs.

Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Pradeepraj, General & Family Physician
