Hello,
I can understand your concern regarding your baby. Don't get confused by approaching too many doctors. If i were your doctor, i would recommend you to continue your pregnancy with careful and regular followup. Insulin is the only treatment in diabetes during pregnancy and it will wonderfully control your diabetes for sure after adjusting the dose.
Birth defects are concerned, i would recommend you to regularly do follow up sonography with amniotic fluid examination and chorioic villus sampling to rule out any genetic defect. Baby will be prone to diabetes,it your sugar will not be controlled, so you must control your sugar lever by hook or crook.
So i would recommend you to continue your pregnancy with careful followup.
