Is The Abdominal Pain And Bleeding Connected To Painful Urination?
Hi, took Levonele one step morning after pill a week and a half ago. After nearly a week I started to bleed after the first time I had sex since I took the MAP. I also had abdominal pains for a couple of days. Since then it is quite painful when I urinate. I stopped bleeding after about five days. Is the abdominal pain and bleeding connected with the pain when I urinate? I was planning to get tested for STD's anyway-am worried it might be a symptom of herpes. Thank you. Rita, 26, 175 lb, 5' 6''. No previous medical issues whatsoever.
Hello and thanks for your question. It's my first priority to help you. Well such symptoms are not associated with herpes if you don't have any bumps or painful blisters on vagina. Possible causes may include hormonal imbalance,Uterine pathology,Pelvic inflammatory disease,Urinary tract infection. Take OTC Motrin. Do warm water sitz bath with betadine solution. See your gynecologist for pelvic examination. Hope this helps.
