Is The Black Tarry Stool Due To Internal Bleeding?

Hi, I have been having trouble with acid relux and have also been having stomach pains. My doctor put me on Omeprazole and it has calmed down my acid. However last week I forgot to take a couple and drank quite heavily for 2 days in a row. On the third day I had black tarry stool. I haven't had it before or since. I am having an endoscopy in 4 weeks but I just wondered if I should be worried that i'm bleeding internally.

HI
Thank for asking to HCM
Your concern and query is appreciated, with history of acid peptic disease if this is the history of blood stain stool then it may be due to GI tract bleeding and ulcer could be the cause.
Start taking the Omeprazole 40 mg once in day and it has to be taken at evening time only, it has to be taken for six week.
Advise:- No alcohol, smoking, heavy meal, no spicy food, greasy food, coffee prior to bed, no stress. try to change the life style.
hope this information helps.
