Is The Itching All Over The Body A Side Effect Of Epitec 50 Mg?

Dear doctor, I am 55 years old and weigh 110 kg, length is 162cm. I am using antidepressants - Serdep 100. Lately I was getting easily agitated and discussed it with my GP. He prescribed Epitec 25mg for 10 days and now I am on 50mg. My mood is much better although I sometimes still get agitated but not as much as before. About a week ago I start to itch all over my body. No bumps just itching. Is this an side effect of the Epitec? Will I gain weight? I usually struggle to loose weight and would not like to add more kilograms.

Yes, Epitec can cause side effect like itching. Weight loss may be a rare side effect of Epitec. Another side effects are:

More common like:
changes in vision, double vision,
skin rash.

Less common like:
chest pain,
anxiety,

Rare like:
flu-like symptoms,
itching,
red or irritated eyes,
sore throat,
swollen lymph nodes,
weight loss.

You should contact Your doctor so that he or she can check You and find the reason of Your itching and prescribe adequate treatment.
