Is There A Medication For Speedy Recovery From Bell S Palsy?

Hello doctor, my mum suffered from vomitting and blisters in the mouth on June 24th leading to facial paralysis on the left side after 2 days. After conducting tests like MRI and NCS CT SCAN etc it was confirmed as Bell’s Palsy. She was prescribed steroids Omnacortil 40 , Shell Cal, Nervon Forte and Galvanic stimulation. The physio therapy was done for a month and has now been stopped. Now she is continuing the Shell Cal and Benfomet forte along with facial exercises. It’s been 2 months almost but not much improvement. Is there anything as medication or advice you can suggest for a speedy recovery?

General Surgeon 's  Response
Hello,

Steroids are the treatment of choice and it take quite time for complete recovery. There is no wonder drugs available for faster recovery and recovery time varies between patients.

Hope I have answered your query.
Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
