Is There A Permanent Cure For Anal Incontinence?

Is there a permanent cure for anal incontinence? My son is 3.5 years old and was born with congenital defects (imperforate anus). We took a second opinion and the ped surgeon informed us that his anal spichinter muscles are weak. Is there any method to strengthen these muscles and manage the incontinence?
