Is There A Possibility Of Overdosing On Anti-rabies Vaccine?

Hello Doctors , Is there a possibility that I will be overdose with anti rabies vaccine overdose? I got my 3 dose last August 2020 because I was starch by my rescue cat in my arm then the second is April 2022 by my cousin s dog because he bite my face I was also got my RIG then 3rd is this year feb 2023 because my cat bite me in my arms when I was taking him a bath.

Hi,

Generally, the antibodies to rabies virus persist for five years or so after complete vaccination with Anti- Rabies vaccine. Also, as you already got the vaccination doses in 2020 and 2022 also. Therefore, in my opinion only a single booster dose will be enough in your case for complete prophylaxis against rabies as a result of your recent bite.
