Is There Any Connection Between Voice Change And Height Growth?

My son is 12yrs 8months old.His voice has started changing in the last few weeks. He is only 5' 3" tall. Just wanted to know if there is any connection between voice change and height growth. Will he not grow really tall as his voice has started cracking so early? Please explain - has height got anything to do with change in the voice?

Thanks & regards,

Hi and thanks for this query.

Voice change and height are regulated by sex and growth hormones. They do not occur at the same time. At 13years, he still has so many years of growth ahead of him that we cannot start thinking about a possible arrest. These changes allhappen at thir pace and have no direct relationship.

I hope this helps. I wish you well.
