Is There Any Cure For Painful Thigh Cramps That Come At Night And Disturb Sleep?

I just read ALL these testimonies of individuals who have suffered with these "wicked" painful # 10 thigh cramps.
For me, they come at night, rousing me from a sound sleep. I too, cry out. I feel like I am getting electrocuted. I cannot stand up because the "agent" has me in a grotesque form. Can a Wellness Chiro alleviate and eradicate this attack?
And from all these testimonies, why is there no solid cures?

Hi, thanks for writing to HCM.

This is just to inform you that there are numerous causes for muscle cramps. A detailed clinical examination and evaluation is needed to establish a correct diagnosis.

Most of the time, night leg cramps occur for no known reason, and they're usually harmless. In general, night leg cramps are likely to be related to muscle fatigue and nerve problems. In rare situations, night leg cramps can be associated with an underlying disorder, such as peripheral artery disease — in which narrowed arteries reduce blood flow to your limbs — diabetes or spinal stenosis.

Activities/Self care measures that might help prevent leg cramps include:
• Drinking plenty of fluids to avoid dehydration
• Walking or jiggling the leg
• Taking a hot shower or warm bath
• Massaging the cramped muscle with your hands or with ice
• Stretching your leg muscles or riding a stationary bicycle for a few minutes before you go to bed
• These cramps at times may be associated with POTASSIUM deficiency and so foods such as bananas, potatoes, prune juice and dried fruit are to be taken as dietary supplement.
• Avoid acidic foods and drinks like tomatoes and vinegar which blocks the body’s natural ability to absorb calcium leading to muscle aches & muscle fatigue.
• Also, calcium fortified foods like seafood and fish, almonds, flaxseed, oats, prunes, sesame seeds, tofu and kale can help to stave off muscle pain & spasm.

Hope this information is helpful. Good day
